Akewani the Guardian

Another original character for my IP, inspired by several African cultures.

Story:
Growing up in a small town in the Gazuda Empire, Akewani had always relied on his older brother Tiyani to stand up to the other boys. He wished that one day he'd have the strength to fend for himself. Tiyani had always assured him that eventually he'd be strong enough to protect the community as a whole, as is their duty. When war came between the communities of the Empire, Tiyani was named a hero for his efforts to re-establish peace, but was soon found murdered by unknown assailants. The loss of his brother still haunts him many years later, though Akewani has since managed to find unlikely companionship in a plant spirit outcast named Myrrai. With Myrrai's help, Akewani strives to live up to the standard set by his fallen brother as a guardian of the community.
